Deciding to enter into therapy can be difficult, and anxiety-provoking.  Attempting to choose an appropriate therapist can make the task even more difficult.I hope that by providing some background information about my approach and my experience it can help you decide if I may be an appropriate therapist for you.As a psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience, I am familiar and comfortable in dealing with a broad range of issues.  Some of these issues include:

  • Anxiety and Stress
  • Depression
  • Self Esteem
  • Relationship Concerns
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Family Problems
  • Marital Concerns
  • Grief and Loss
  • Life Transitions
  • Infidelity
  • Loss and Discontent Related to Immigration
  • Work Stress

Each person is unique.  I do not believe in treating the “diagnosis” but rather in helping the person.  For example, anxiety in one person may appear as ‘jitteriness’ while in another person it may appear as anger or being quick-tempered. Yet another person may be quiet and even dissociated.  I believe it is crucial to understand the person, and to help them gain a deeper understanding of themselves.
